• The service hidden in the details is so warm that I want to turn back

  This time I came to Dongguan for a short stay and chose the name of the hotel. I was originally only interested in its convenient location, but I didn't expect that after staying for three days, I was fully serviced and even the small accidents during the journey were gently resolved. It has become the most unforgettable hotel I have stayed at in Dongguan in recent years.
  As soon as I arrived at the door, the doorman came up from afar and took the large suitcase, guiding me all the way to the front desk. When checking in, the staff smiled and handed me a refreshing Dongguan local herbal tea. They heard that I was here to check in for local cuisine, so they not only took the initiative to upgrade my high-rise city view room, but also gave me a handwritten list of hidden delicacies, indicating several old Dongguan style roasted meat shops and late night sugar and water stalls that avoid internet famous shops. They even wrote clearly which hidden Dongguan cuisine needs to be reserved in advance. I casually mentioned that I would get up early the next day and go to Songshan Lake to watch the sunrise. When I returned to my room that night, I found a hand-painted road map around the lake on the door handle, and a small box of free portable Dim sum and hot milk beside it. I was afraid that I could not catch up with my breakfast and get hungry.
  The small interludes during the journey are the most indicative of the warmth of the service. The next day, while cycling at Songshan Lake, I accidentally sprained my ankle and limped back to the hotel. The doorman immediately came over to help me and contacted the front desk before I could speak. Five minutes later, the housekeeping staff knocked on the door with ice packs and anti-inflammatory medication. In the next two days, every time I passed by, my cleaning aunt would ask me whether my foot injury was better, and she also secretly left me the swelling reducing red bean Congee cooked in the hotel restaurant. Even I casually mentioned a local wormwood cake I wanted to eat, and it appeared on my table at breakfast the next day.
  What's even more rare is that the service here never makes people feel deliberately polite. I accidentally left my portable camera in the gym. When I went back to look for it, the staff not only helped me keep it safe, but also thoughtfully pasted a note with my room number on the camera bag, fearing that I might lose something later. One night, I was organizing photos in the book bar in the lobby. After finishing my coffee, I didn't feel like speaking up. A passing waiter quietly refilled me with a hot cup and gently put down a small plate of freshly baked cookies, without any unnecessary disturbance throughout the process. Before leaving, when I was packing my luggage, I found that I had bought too many souvenirs to fit in. The front desk took the initiative to bring me free packing boxes and tape, and even helped me contact the courier to come to my doorstep. They even filled out most of the delivery form for me.
  On the day of check-out, it was drizzling outside. The doorman waited for me at the hotel entrance with an umbrella in advance, and even handed me a transparent umbrella with the hotel logo printed on it. He said that the road was slippery on rainy days, so he would use the umbrella on the road and come back anytime when he came to Dongguan next time. After staying for three days, I haven't encountered a rigid and procedural response. Every staff member's greeting is accompanied by a sincere smile. The thoughtfulness hidden in the details is completely beyond the warmth that standardized training can achieve.
  I have stayed in many high-end hotels before, and most of them completed their services according to the procedures.   This time I stayed at Wanda Vista Dongguan in Dongguan for two consecutive nights. Originally, I only wanted it to be close to the business district. After staying, I realized that its surrounding facilities and convenient transportation have taken all the hassle points of traveling in Dongguan into consideration. Whether it's for leisure or business, I can spend my time on what I want to do without wasting any time on the road.
  The most outstanding thing is its transportation convenience. The lobby of the hotel is directly connected to Wanda Plaza in Dongcheng, so you can walk inside the business circle without going out of the door. Even in rainstorm days in summer in Dongguan, you will not get a little water on your body and luggage. The bus hub is located 50 meters from the entrance, covering most of the core business districts and industrial parks in Dongguan. You don't need to take a taxi to get there directly, so you don't have to wait for a bus on the roadside to waste time. It is only an 8-minute walk from Dongcheng Station on Dongguan Metro Line 2, and it takes only 20 minutes by subway to reach Dongguan Station directly. There is no need to transfer to Humen High speed Railway Station, and the whole journey is free of traffic jams and detours. If you drive here, the hotel comes with a large free parking lot with ample space. You don't have to wander around the business district for half an hour to find a parking spot. You can also take the exclusive passage to pick up the car and directly take the expressway to Songshan Lake, Humen and other places.
  The surrounding 3-kilometer living circle fully covers all travel needs. Going downstairs is Wanda Jin Street, from local specialty roasted meat shops and Liaobu bean paste shops in Dongguan to internet famous milk tea shops and late night street stalls. You can find everything you want within a 10 minute walk, without having to travel dozens of kilometers across districts to check in. If you want to browse trendy brands, watch movies, or buy souvenirs, simply enter Wanda Plaza and you can get everything in one stop. You can even buy emergency power banks and sunscreen products, and take a turn downstairs to reach the 24-hour convenience store. If you want to find a place to hang out with friends, you can walk 15 minutes to the bar street in Dongcheng. After drinking, walk slowly back to the hotel without worrying about the issue of chauffeur.
  If you want to go further to check in at scenic spots, it's not a hassle at all. It takes only 10 minutes by taxi from the hotel to reach the Xiaba Fang Art District, which is very convenient for taking vintage photos and browsing cultural and creative shops; 20 minutes to reach Songshan Lake, ride along the lake to watch the sunset, and easily travel back and forth on the same day without having to wake up early to catch up. Go to Ke Yuan to see Lingnan gardens, take the city expressway for 15 minutes to get there. After strolling, you can also catch the hotel's afternoon tea. The schedule is very relaxed and not rushed at all.
  Even the attention to detail has hit the pain point of travel. The front desk can book free shuttle buses to nearby attractions, so you don't have to check your own route when traveling with the elderly and children. For self driving, the front desk can also provide free obstacle avoidance route maps to avoid congested roads during peak hours in Dongguan. I forgot to bring the data cable when I went out this time, and I bought it within 3 minutes of walking downstairs, without having to order takeout and wait for half an hour for delivery.
  After staying for two nights, I hardly wasted a minute on transportation. I was able to reach all the places I wanted to go and the shops I wanted to eat in the most convenient way possible. Previously, when I came to Dongguan, I always felt that traveling had to take many detours.
